Who operates the service
ConvertAutomation operates the website at convertautomation.net and the conversion service at convert.convertautomation.net. Privacy questions can be sent to convertautomation.tech@gmail.com.
Online converter data
The converter processes one Siemens TIA Portal XML block uploaded by the user and creates generated conversion files, a private result link, and a programmer-focused report. The service may also process technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve conversion coverage, such as timestamps, file size, detected technical characteristics, success or failure status, and security-related request data.
Uploaded filenames, block names, XML content, result tokens, and PLC identifiers are not intentionally transmitted to third-party advertising or marketing analytics.
Retention
- Uploaded XML files and generated results may be retained for up to 30 days.
- The private link used to access a result expires after 24 hours.
- Anonymous or aggregated technical totals may be retained longer to understand service reliability and improve conversion coverage.
- Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or resolve a specific support request.
Infrastructure and security
Infrastructure and security providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. Cloudflare services are used for DNS, HTTPS, secure connectivity, abuse prevention, and human-verification controls. Hosting and form-processing providers may also process requests submitted through the public website.
TIA XML Exporter download form
The optional Windows utility retains its existing download form. The form collects an email address and professional profile to manage utility access, respond to relevant technical issues, and understand which professional audiences use the exporter. This information is not required to use the separate online conversion service.
Contact and support
If a user voluntarily sends an email, ConvertAutomation processes the sender’s address, message, and any information included in the correspondence to answer the request. Users should not email confidential PLC files or other protected content unless specifically requested and appropriately authorized.
User responsibilities
Users must have the authority to upload and process the PLC content they submit. Users must not upload passwords, credentials, trade secrets they are not authorized to process, personal data that is unnecessary for the conversion, or files belonging to third parties without permission.
Purpose of processing
Information is processed to provide conversion and download services, protect the service against abuse, diagnose failures, improve supported conversion coverage, provide requested support, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Sharing and sale of data
ConvertAutomation does not sell submitted contact information or uploaded PLC content. Information may be processed by infrastructure, security, hosting, and form providers only as needed to operate the service, or disclosed when required by law.

To request information, correction, or deletion where applicable, email convertautomation.tech@gmail.com. Include enough information to identify the relevant support correspondence or submission without sending additional confidential PLC content.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated as service functionality, retention, limits, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest published version.
