Acceptance
By accessing or using the ConvertAutomation website, online converter, TIA XML Exporter, generated files, reports, or related services, the user agrees to these terms. If the user acts for a company or organization, the user confirms that they have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
Service scope
The online service assists with conversion of individual Siemens TIA Portal XML blocks into Rockwell-oriented engineering deliverables. Generated L5X, ASCII, comments, reports, and other files may be incomplete, contain errors, omit unsupported logic, or require manual correction. Compatibility varies by source version, block type, language, instructions, XML content, and target engineering environment.
Mandatory professional review
- Every output must be inspected by a qualified PLC or automation professional.
- The user must verify data types, tags, instructions, timing, sequencing, fault handling, hardware assumptions, and platform-specific behavior.
- The user is solely responsible for simulation, offline testing, controlled commissioning, risk assessment, and final approval.
- Safety functions, functional-safety design, safety validation, and compliance with applicable standards remain entirely the user’s responsibility.
Authorized content
The user confirms that they own or are authorized to upload and process all submitted PLC content. The user must not upload malware, credentials, unauthorized confidential information, unlawful material, or content that infringes third-party rights.
Availability and free access
The service is currently available free while conversion coverage and real-world demand are evaluated. Free access is not guaranteed permanently. Availability, functions, compatibility, limits, retention, and future pricing may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn without a fixed end date. Access may be limited or suspended to prevent abuse, protect security, perform maintenance, or comply with legal requirements.
No warranty
The website, software, conversion service, reports, and generated files are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. ConvertAutomation does not warrant uninterrupted availability, complete compatibility, error-free output, suitability for a particular machine or process, or that generated logic will reproduce the behavior of the source program.
Limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ConvertAutomation is not responsible for losses arising from unreviewed or incorrectly validated outputs, production interruption, machine behavior, commissioning, data loss, lost profits, or indirect and consequential damage. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Security and abuse
Users must not attempt to bypass file-size restrictions, security controls, rate limits, access restrictions, or result-link protections; interfere with service operation; probe infrastructure without authorization; or use the service for unlawful purposes.
Data handling
Uploaded XML files and generated results may be retained for up to 30 days. Private result links expire after 24 hours. Additional information is provided in the Privacy and Data Notice.
Third-party names and platforms
ConvertAutomation is not affiliated with, approved by, sponsored by, or supported by Siemens or Rockwell Automation. Siemens, TIA Portal, TIA Openness, Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley, Studio 5000, and related names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.
Changes and contact
